Join us in the hedge this September.
From September 10–27, 2026, The Players Theatre is burrowing into Groundhog Day madness with
Annie Brown’s Day of the Hog. Spend the night in The Village’s snapshot of Punxsutawney, PA on the
eve of Groundhog Day, where two hedgehogs find their quiet life uprooted by shifting political power and
one very famous groundhog. What starts as an absurd woodland comedy spirals into a sharp, darkly funny
tragedy about class, survival, and how far love can stretch in the coldest, longest winter yet.
It’s furry. It’s feral. It’s a little too close to home.
For audiences who like their satire scrappy and their romance slightly doomed, Day of the Hog asks:
when the shadow looms, do you hibernate, or fight?
